| Climate : There are two seasons in Mauritius. The summer season from November until April where the temperature is around 30 Celsius and the winter season from May until October where the temperature is around 24 Celsius. In the centre plateau the temperature is 5 degrees lower. |

| Currency : The official currency is Mauritian Rupee (MUR) (10, 20, 50, 100, 200, 500, and 1000 notes). All European currency as well as USD dollars are accepted in Mauritius. |

| Time Zone : Time difference with Cyprus – 2 hours ahead during November – March and 1 hour ahead during April – October. |
| Clothing : The required clothing is sport wear, swimwear, shorts and sandals for the beach. June – September are the winter months, where the temperature is around 24 Celsius, light jumpers and jackets for the evening are a must. October – May are the summer months where it is hot and humid. Light clothing is recommended in the evening. |
| Transportation : you can travel from island to island with a speed boat or a hydroplane. |
