Dear Colleagues,

It is a great honour to welcome you to the 8th Congress of the Mediterranean Association of Paediatric Surgeons in Cyprus, taking place between 8-10 October 2010 in Limassol. We would like to welcome all our distinguished colleagues from the Mediterranean countries and all the other countries of the world.

These biannual meetings provide high quality discussions concerning paediatric surgery subjects including fetal surgery, minimal invasive surgery, paediatric emergencies, congenital anomalies, laparoscopic surgery, oncology etc.

As you know, this beautiful island, Cyprus, is situated in the very Eastern Corner of the Mediterranean and according to the Myth it is here that Aphrodite, the Goddess of Beauty and Love was born. Having a history of almost 11 000 years it has a rich cultural heritage. Cypriots are also well known for their hospitality.

We are sure that the scientific program will harmonically merge with the leisure program and that you will have the opportunity to explore Cyprus’ beauty as well as our hospitality during your stay on the island.
