Dear friends, It gives us great pleasure and honour to welcome you in Cyprus at the 2006 Commonwealth Council for Educational Administration and Management (CCEAM) Conference, which is being organised by the Cyprus Educational Administration Society (CEAS) in collaboration with the University of Cyprus (UCY). The Conference theme is: "Recreating Linkages between Theory and Praxis in Educational Leadership" The CCEAM Conferences have always been regarded as one of the most important international and Commonwealth events in the area of Educational Administration, Management and Leadership. These conferences offer the main forum in which we celebrate our cultural pluralism and richness of the various scientific and practical approaches during the examination of our field in which we all endeavour with so much passion and academic rigour and at the same time with respect for each other's positions. Please do make a note in your calendars for this exceptional event that no one can afford to miss out. We will be anxiously waiting for you in order to learn and gain from each other and at the same time in order to enjoy the Ancient Greek civilization and other rich cultural traditions that Cyprus has to offer. I am indeed looking especially forward to welcoming young scientists, researchers and practitioners who will enrich our field with their own new and fresh ideas and investigations along side the already existing ideas of some of the greatest names in our field internationally. From the 12th until the 17th of October 2006, you must be in Cyprus and we will be ready to welcome you in our part of the world and the Commonwealth.
