Duration
The Conference will commence on 12th of October 2006 afternoon and will end on the 17th of October 2006. Registration, the Opening Ceremony as well as the Welcome Reception will take place on the 12th of October. The Conference Programme will commence on the 13th of October 2006 and will finish on the 15th of October. School visits will take place on Monday the 16th and on Tuesday the 17th participants may choose an optional excursion.

Conference Venue
The Conference will be held at the Hilton Cyprus Hotel in Lefkosia (Nicosia). Long known as a landmark of Lefkosia (Nicosia) and a focal point of its business and social life, the Hilton Cyprus is a 5-star hotel, located about 40 minutes via motorway from Larnaka International Airport. Standing at the height of Makarios Avenue, one of Lefkosia's (Nicosia's) main arteries, the Hilton Cyprus is a symbol of excellence. It is the choice of business travellers, convention and conference organisers, as well as leisure travellers who insist on accommodation, facilities and service of international standards. But the Hilton Cyprus is also for those who want to discover and enjoy the warmth and hospitality that our island is known to offer.

Language:
The official language of the conference is English.

Air Travel:
Cyprus can be reached by several major international airlines from European gateway cities. From North America, travelers can break up the journey in the European city of their choice or elect to keep connection time to a minimum. Popular gateways include London, Paris, Amsterdam, Athens, Frankfurt, Zurich, Helsinki, Rome, Tel Aviv, Dubai etc. In addition, Cyprus Airways provides regular daily flights from major European and Middle Eastern gateways. If you need assistance with flight itineraries and fares, please contact the conference secretariat, Top Kinisis Travel, is an IATA licensed travel agent and will be happy to offer their expert knowledge.

Airport Transfers and Shuttle Bus service:
Travellers arriving in the Republic of Cyprus may enter the country only through the legal ports of entry: Larnaka and Pafos International Airports. However, most international flights arrive at Larnaka International Airport. Taxis are always available at Larnaka Airport for your transfer to Lefkosia (Nicosia) for approximately CY£28 per taxi. Shuttle bus services will be available from your accommodation hotel to the conference venue and vice versa.

Insurance:
It is recommended that participants arrange insurance for medical expenses, loss of personal belongings and accidents occurring during the congress. The organisers cannot be held responsible for any losses, damages or injuries.

Dress:
Dress for delegates will be smart casual throughout the Conference. Dress at the official functions (Receptions, Gala Dinner etc.) is semi formal.

Conference Fee:
The conference fee includes: attendance to all sessions, welcome cocktail/reception, morning and afternoon coffee break for 3 days, lunch for 3 days, shuttle bus service from Lefkosia (Nicosia) Hotels to the conference venue, conference satchel, programme and abstracts booklet, conference proceedings on CD-ROM and certificate of attendance.

Registration:
Registration online is the preferred means of registration. The online registration form can be found on the conference website. For those without internet access, please complete the registration form and return it by fax or post before the 15th of June 2006 to the Conference Secretariat (see details below).

Accommodation:
Rooms will be reserved on a 'first come first served' basis. The number of pre-booked rooms is limited. The balance of your accommodation account is to be pre-paid to the Conference Secretariat by the 31st of August 2006. The Conference Secretariat reserves the right to alter reservations. Notification of such changes will be in writing and in good time prior to arrival.

Cancellation Policies:
Accommodation: Cancellations received on or after the 20th of September 2006 will be subject to one night's cancellation charge. No-show participants will be subject to 100% cancellation fee.
Registration: Cancellations before the 20th of September 2006: 80% of fee will be refunded. Cancellations received after the 20th of September 2006: fee non-refundable.

Cancellations must be submitted in writing to the Conference Secretariat in order to receive any possible reimbursement.
