Research-based continuing professional development (CPD) is becoming recognized not only as a means for individual development, but as a powerful tool for institutional improvement. The University of Gloucestershire is running an expanding programme of accredited CPD for teachers, both in its local schools and from further afield. A variety of different models and locations for CPD is offered, strongly focused on school improvement. In this presentation, three short case studies will be given to illustrate how teachers are working in partnership with the University to create CPD and research precisely matched to their schools' needs. |
