Duration:
The scientific programme of the meeting will commence on Thursday
morning, the 5th of October 2006 and will end on Saturday noon, the
7th of October 2006. The registration and information desk will be
open throughout the duration of the meeting.
Venue:
The Conference will be held at the 5-star Adams Beach Hotel. A luxury
hotel located on one of the finest golden beaches in Cyprus, Nissi
Bay in the resort of Ayia Napa on the southeastern coast of Cyprus.
It is the choice of business travelers, convention and conference
organizers, as well as leisure travelers. But the Adams Beach Hotel
is also for those who want to discover and enjoy the warmth and
hospitality that our island is known to offer. The distance from
Larnaca International Airport is 35kms.
Poster Display:
Posters will be displayed on allocated boards, the number of which
will be given to the authors in advance by the Conference Secretariat.
Exhibition:
The exhibition will be running throughout the duration of the meeting.
The exhibition is open to pharmaceutical companies, manufacturers
of medical and surgical equipment, software equipment and scientific
publishers. All inquiries regarding the exhibition must be addressed
to the Conference Secretariat.
Registration:
Registration online is the preferred means of registration. The
online registration form can be found on the conference website.
For those without Internet access, please complete the enclosed
registration form and return it by fax or post before the 5th of
September to the Conference Secretariat.
Accommodation:
Special rates have been granted by the three hotels (see registration
form) only for the participants of the meeting. Rooms will be reserved
on a 'first come firs served' basis. The number of pre-booked rooms
is limited. The balance of your accommodation account is to be pre-paid
to the conference secretariat by September 2006. The conference
secretariat reserves the right to alter reservations: notification
of such changes will be in writing and in good time prior to arrival.

received after the 15th of September: fee non-refundable. |

Cancellations
received on or after the 15th of September 2006 will be subject
to one night's cancellation charge. Cancellations received one
week before check in date will be subject to 100% cancellation
fee. |
| Cancellations
must be submitted in writing to the Conference Secretariat in
order to receive any possible reimbursement. |
Recommendations:
The Organizing Committee would like to ask you to consider the following:
- Registration online is the preferred
means of registration.
- Payment by credit card is the
preferred means of payment.
- The earliest possible registration
would greatly assist the organizers of the meeting.
- The organizers have pre-booked
the hotels identified on the registration form at special rates
and therefore your support of these hotels is advisable.
Language:
The official language of the meeting is English.
Letters of Invitation:
Participants arriving from countries that require entry visa for
Cyprus, must present an invitation letter to their nearest Embassy
or General Consulate of the Republic of Cyprus. Such letters can
be provided by the Conference Secretariat upon written request.

Insurance:
It is recommended that participants arrange insurance for medical
expenses, loss of personal belongings and accidents occurring during
the meeting. The organizers cannot be held responsible for any loses
damages or injuries.
Airport Transfers:
Travelers arriving in the Republic of Cyprus may enter the country
only through the legal ports of entry: Larnaca and Pafos International
Airports. However, most international flights arrive at Larnaca
Airport, which is nearer to the meeting venue as well (approximately
30 minutes). Taxis are always available at Larnaca Airport for your
transfer to Ayia Napa for approximately €45.
Currency:
The currency of the Republic is the Cyprus pound - CYŁ, which is
divided into 100 cents. The equivalent of the Cyprus Pound against
the Euro is approximately 1.70 (1CYŁ = 1.70 Euro). The equivalent
of the Cyprus Pound against the US Dollar is approximately 2.20
(1CYŁ = 2.20 US Dollar).
Climate:
Cyprus enjoys a Mediterranean climate with long dry summers from
mid-May to mid-October and with mild winters from December to February,
which are separated by short autumn and spring seasons. The average
temperature in October is 25oC daytime falling to 16oC in the evenings.
