Dear colleagues and friends,

It gives us great pleasure and honor to host the 18th Annual Meeting of the Mediterranean Association of Cardiology and Cardiac Surgery. The Meeting will be held from the 5th - 7th of October 2006, in Ayia Napa - Cyprus and will be attended by a distinguished group of Cardiologists and Cardiac Surgeons, not only from the Mediterranean area but also from all over the world.

On this hospitable island, situated between three continents in the middle of the Mediterranean, colleagues will exchange ideas, experiences, innovations, research and approaches to the diagnosis and treatment of Cardiovascular Diseases.

The Organizing Committee has arranged an interesting and entertaining social programme that will give you a taste of the Islands natural beauties, thus, providing an opportunity to sample the culture and history of Cyprus and its Mediterranean environs, to ensure that your stay will be truly unforgettable.

The combination of fine weather, comfortable surroundings and a rich cultural heritage offers an ideal environment for us to meet and share our knowledge and experience. On behalf of the Organizing Committee, I whole-heartedly encourage you to attend the Meeting and I am looking forward to welcoming you personally in Cyprus.
