Poster Display:

Posters are to be 120cm in height and 90cm in width.  The posters will be on display on allocated boards in the foyer.

 
Transportation:

Airport schedules will be sent to all participants by email and will be posted on the site approximately 10 days prior to the conference. Buses and Taxis will be the transport offered and the transport (either bus or taxi) will depend on how many people arrive at Larnaca simultaneously. A local representative will be at the airport to greet the participants with a picket with the name of the conference displayed and will guide them to their transfer.

 
Registration Desk: 

The registration desk will open on the 3rd June at 17.00-21.00 for registration and will continue to be open throughout the duration of the Conference. All conference documents (program, abstracts, booklet etc) will be included in the participant’s bag. The badge of each participant gives access to all sessions, coffee breaks and lunch breaks.

 
Internet Café 

An Internet Café will be operating, where you will be able to use internet facilities, 24 hours. Sponsor of the Internet café is The Cyprus Telecommunications Authority (CYTA)

 
Insurance: 

It is recommended that participants arrange insurance for medical expenses, loss of personal belongings and accidents occurring during the conference. The organizers cannot be held responsible for any losses, damages or injuries.

 
Electric Current – Voltage: 

The supply in Cyprus is 240 volts, a.c. 50Hz. Sockets are usually 13 amp, square pin in most buildings. Many hotels provide adaptors upon request from the reception.

 
Shopping hours: 

Shop opening times vary depending on their type and location, though shops normally open between 07:00 and 09:00. For the period April 1st – October 31st shops close at to 20:00 on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, at 15:00 on Wednesday and, at 19:30 on Saturday. During the period June 15th – August 31st there is an optional three hour afternoon break from14:00 - 17:00.

Climate: 

Cyprus enjoys a Mediterranean climate with long dry summers from mid-May to mid-October and with mild winters from December to February which are separated by short autumn and spring seasons. The average temperature in June is 31°C daytime falling to 21°C in the evenings.

 
Clothing: 

Summer clothes are recommended daytime and jackets and light sweaters may be required for the evening.

 
Banking hours for the public: 
Monday-Friday 08.00-13.00
There are many Automated Teller Machines (ATMs) outside most branches of banks. Hotels, large shops and restaurants normally accept credit cards and traveler’s cheques.
 
Credit Cards: 

All major credit cards are accepted widely, but not everywhere. If in doubt ask in advance.

Taxi service: 

Taxis are available on a 24 hour basis. Early evening to early morning hours, taxi tariff is higher than daytime. Approximate cost from Limassol to Larnaca Airport is €50
